Finding Ourselves in Play with Alicia Schultz
In this workshop, we will discuss the idea of play and its role in our art. What does play look like for adults? How do you play in your art? Alicia will share examples of how she has used art play to discover breakthroughs in her own work. We will then play together through solo and collaborative activities. Artists will be able to connect with fellow artists, making new memories and friends. The intention for this workshop is to inspire artists to be purposeful about including play in their process.

Creating Monotypes with Watercolor, Gouache and Chine Collé: Fine Art Printing Techniques with Deborah Velasquez
Artists of all skill levels will create monotypes using watercolor paints and a light portable press for light pressure printing. Artists will have the option to add collage (Chine Collé) materials to finished prints. Experienced fine artists will learn how to apply their painting skills to another medium and process. Beginners will enjoy the playful discovery of another creative technique to make art!

Discover the magic of alcohol inks! Loosen up as we play with air and ink to create fun, exciting, and colorful abstract paintings. In this special experience, we will let go of perfectionism and go with the flow, allowing the inks to guide us.
Alcohol inks are an excellent medium for all skill levels due to their forgiving nature and dynamic effects. We foster a safe zone where everyone can be unapologetically themselves—unique and beautiful. Close out Camp Minted with this special meditative immersion.
